Job Description

Our Global Business Solutions (GBS) organization is responsible for the design, governance, and execution of global processes. Within GBS, Business Process Excellence (BPE) Opex team is responsible for supporting other BPE Areas (Order to Cash; Source to Settle; Cards, Meetings & Expenses) with project management, process standardization and talent engagement activities.

The BPE Operational Excellence (Opex) Specialist will be accountable and responsible for the execution of various supporting services for all stakeholders within BPE Organization. The individual will partner with the OTC, STS and CME sub-process GPOs (global process owners)/ delivery leads, the BSC operational teams, GBS Internal Controls and other stakeholders to identify opportunities, drive standardization, lead continuous improvement projects and support other initiatives within GBS. This role will foster a culture of problem solving within the BPE Organizations that improves service delivery, cost, and quality. The incumbent must have a global mindset, strong business judgement and effective communication skills, as well as experience with the OTC, STS and/or CME processes.

Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following

  • Responsible to partner on projects which will drive consistency in our operational process execution, reporting and controls execution
  • Take a proactive role and provide effective stakeholder engagement in developing a roadmap of projects and process standardization to effectively support the improvements implementation
  • Identify, propose, and implement process improvement through daily problem resolution
  • Work closely with peers in the BSCs across the global to ensure consistent implementation and communication to stakeholders
  • Responsible for sustainment and enforcement of our GBS Global Documentation (Heatmap, Country Profile, Global Procedures, Global Process Flows and Global Work Instructions) and ways of working, according to the GBS Documentation standards
  • Utilize the change management program to support the implementation of standardized processes, process changes or new processes across the BSC and stakeholders
  • Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders ensuring they are consulted and informed regarding ongoing projects and potential process improvement changes
  • Facilitate understanding with all process participants on role clarity within the end-to-end design, developing and maintaining process documentation and training materials
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in line with SOX requirements and supports company mission, values and standards of ethics and integrity

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance or business support services of a multinational company preferred
  • Detailed process knowledge in the area of OTC, STS or CME, together with demonstrated skills in project implementation strongly preferred
  • Experience working in an organization providing services across multiple markets or geographies
  • Business-level of English language (both written and spoken)

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience with SAP systems applications
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite Applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint and VBA
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma application and tools preferred
  • Experience in change management and demonstrated results
  • Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills in English
  • Experience with process automation and familiarity with the level of standardization required to successfully automate activity
  • Strong interpersonal skills that align efforts across cultures and conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work cross-divisionally and globally
  • Team player who can also work independently and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to education and professional development
  • Problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style to implement new processes
  • Possess a high degree of integrity and personal ethics in implementing corporate policies and procedures
  • Strong ability to coordinate and support multiple projects
  • Willingness to travel for meetings and projects (<10% of the time)
  • Willingness to attend or conduct remote meetings during off hours (<5% of the time)
