Old Downton Lodge about 6 miles from Ludlow requires a Front of House Team Member for our Restaurant with Rooms.
We have 9 luxury rooms and a small 20-seater restaurant with a large sitting room. We are a small team with a passion for great service and great food. Nick our Head Chef heads the 3 AA Rosette Kitchen serving food 7 nights a week between 6pm and 8:30pm. Tomasz is our Manager/Sommelier and heads our small front of house team. His Assistant Manager Harry works very closely with Tomasz. We are looking for an individual that will work closely with Tomasz and Harry and their role will involve the following:
- Setting up the Restaurant for Dinner service
- Checking in guests
- Answering telephone and taking room and restaurant bookings
- Serving hot and cold drinks from Bar and Kitchen
- Serving Food and drinks during dinner service
- Taking Food orders
- Closing and locking up
Work pattern and benefits:
- 5 days a week with 2 days off per week.
- Working from 2pm till 10pm or 3pm till 11pm.
- Every 3rd weekend off.
- Christmas Day OFF (We closed for at least 5 days each year over the Christmas Holiday
- Last 2 weeks off in February each year.
- 28 days holiday each year
- Equal share of cash and card tips.
No previous experience required as full training will be given to enthusiastic individual. You will also have opportunity to have following training provided free of charge
- WSET 1 and WSET 2 - Increase Wine Knowledge
- Fire Marshall Course done every 3 years
- Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene for Catering
- Personal License
