TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.
Responsibilities :
- Quality Management Area: Responsibility of Operation plant in North Africa including distribution centre according to the Automotive Standards.
- Quality Management System: ownership of the quality management process of North Africa business
- operation aligned with IATF 16949 and customer specific requirements standards.
- Customer Expectations: customer escalation management and coordination with cross-functional teams through all Operations plans in North Africa to meet customer and management expectations.
- Quality Objectives: Define quality assurance objectives and yearly performance improvements aligned with the strategic business plan.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legal regulations, and guide employees to work safely and sustainably.
- Quality Operation Organization: set up the north Africa quality assurance organization according to the North Africa strategical footprint plan.
- Reporting: Ensure regular reporting to Top management, plant review presentations of Operation performances including main key action plan.
- Continuous Improvement: Development of process simplification with Operation management including main improvement key strategical axes for all Operation locations in North Africa.
- early involvement approach to avoid critical business impact.
What your background should look like:
- A university degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or physics.
- 8 years experience in various Quality and Operational assignments in an automotive environment
- Management experience is required
- Fluency in English is required for verbal and written communication, including presentations. German or French are desirable
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 is required
- Knowledge of Core tools APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP
- The ability to apply engineering principles and knowledge to solve complex problems in the automotive industry.
- Negociation skills, ability to defend quality perception , communication skills, creativity , Business owner mindset
