Trainee Assistant Psychologist at Lexxic

We are delighted to be recruiting our latest cohort of Trainee Assistant Psychologist to join our wonderful Psychological Services Team at Lexxic. Joining the largest part of our business as a Trainee Assistant Psychologist, you'll be trained by our experienced team of Senior Psychologists to deliver our key services: Workplace Needs Assessments, Coaching, and Screening Assessments. As a leading specialist in the field of neurodiversity, all of our psychological services at Lexxic relate to Dyslexia, Dyspraxia (DCD), Dyscalculia, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Conditions, Cognitive Functioning differences, and mental health support.

This is an exciting opportunity for a psychology graduate, with a minimum 2:1 honours degree in Psychology seeking to gain training as a junior psychologist and, as part of this role, you will have the opportunity to be trained in the BPS Level A qualification, as well as other interesting and varied opportunities for development.

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering virtual, telephone-based and face-face assessments to neurodivergent individuals.
  • Critically evaluating information obtained from the client through interviews and psychometric instruments, to determine appropriate recommendations and conclusions.
  • Producing and maintaining appropriate and accurate notes on assessments.
  • Writing reports, communicating the findings from assessments.
  • Reviewing and evaluating contents of reports.
  • Delivering Coaching / Training to neurodivergent individuals.
  • Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on your own development and being proactive in managing your growth.
  • Attending scheduled CPD (Continuing professional development) sessions.

Must Have:

  • Have a BPS Accredited Psychology degree.
  • Have a keen interest in or have experience in supporting individuals with a broad range of neurodivergent conditions.
  • Have an interest in the areas of diversity and wellbeing and passionate about enabling individuals to reach their full potential.
  • Have a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent ability to plan, prioritise and organise own work.
  • High level of self-motivation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions.
  • High standard of written work.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Excellent time management
  • Empathy and Patience.
