As one of our Experts (f/m/d) you will work in the projects with full responsibility for engineering and consulting in the area of grid control solutions to SCADA/EMS/DMS inc. IoT and cyber security solutions, mainly in our transmission and distribution business. You will be responsible for parameterisation, accurate functioning and troubleshooting of our applications, such as state estimation, optimisation of load flow calculation, grid security calculation, short circuit calculation, etc.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Developing technical solutions, commenting on customer specifications and technical standards, testing and ensuring compliance
- Responsibility for data models and for the creation of specifications for extensions.
- You support the collaboration for engineering, bidding and consulting within the business unit as well as the interaction with other SE BUs
- Proactively collaborate with overall project managers, technical project managers and specialists, e.g. electrical networks, communications and cyber security
- Carrying out customer training and support during commissioning
- Evaluation of different installation concepts under technological and economic aspects as well as the creation and maintenance of standardised technical documents
- Actively participate in research and development activities together with other specialists to develop the most sophisticated network control solutions for the future network.
What You Bring
- Completed university degree in electrical engineering, control and automation technology or physics
- Longterm working experience within grid control technologies such as SCADA as well as with cyber security solutions and IOT
- Good understanding of the power distribution/transmission market and technologies, mainly in the mentioned areas, protection, control and HMI solutions, IT/OT integration, digitalisation with IoT solutions and cyber security
- Initial experience in the implementation of solution projects and in the mathematical simulation, optimisation and evaluation of power transmission and distribution systems
- Knowledge in network calculation and familiarity with ENTSO-E Network Codes and/or Common Information Model (CIM)
- Knowledge of Linux, C++, Java and a scripting language such as Perl or Python
- Result-oriented with a strong analytical mentality, extraordinary teammate preferably in intercultural teams and customer focused. Fluent English skills; German language skills are a plus
